Faculty & Staff

Hello, My name is Adela Robins, and I will be this year's 2nd and 3rd grade teacher! This is my first year at St. Bridget of Sweden and I am beyond excited to get to know everyone!
Before coming to St. Bridget of Sweden I have had plenty of experience with multi-age classrooms along with traditional one-grade classes. I have worked in a Kindergarten, 1st, 2nd, 4th and 5th/6th grade classroom. I have also taught 1st grade online. Teaching online allowed me to become creative with fun and engaging lessons to help my students and their families during distance learning.
A little bit about me, I received my Bachelors in Educational Studies and a Multiple Subject Teaching Credential from the University of La Verne. I am currently finishing my Masters and I am set to graduate in the spring of 2021. In my free time I love to cook, practice yoga, and take my dogs to the dog park.
I am so excited to share my enthusiasm for teaching with my future students! I look forward to a fun and productive school year online and hopefully in person.

Hello, I am Ms. Villegas. This year I will be teaching TK-1st grade. I received a Bachelor of Arts in Liberal Studies from CSUN and a Master of Science in Education from MSMU-LA. My 12 years of teaching experience has ranged between TK - 5th grade.

Greetings St. Bridget Families,
My name is Joseph Hernandez and I am very excited to join the academic team here at St. Bridget of Sweden School. I have over 20 years of experience working in various elementary school environments, with the past 9 years teaching at another local catholic school. I currently possess a Bachelor of Science degree from California State University Northridge, am a Google Certified Educator Level 1 and Certified Apple Teacher for iPads and Macs. My philosophy as an educator is that every child is unique and capable of learning. I firmly believe learning is a process, and part of that process includes successes and mistakes. I use positive reinforcement as my main classroom management strategy while acknowledging the need for consequences in certain circumstances. Lastly, as a product of catholic education and parent, I value, understand and accept the responsibility of educating your children in their faith and academics. I am excited to have the opportunity to teach your child and look forward to meeting and working with you.

Hi, my name is Mrs. Anya Carrillo and I am the new Middle School Teacher and 4th-8th ELA teacher! This is my 9th year teaching in a Catholic environment and my second year here at St. Bridget of Sweden School. I believe each and every child has the potential to bring something unique and special to the world. I have a vision of a world where people learn to respect, accept, and embrace the differences between us, as the core of what makes life so fascinating.

Hello Vikings! It’s Mrs. Nassar! I’m so excited to continue learning with you during this 2020-2021 school year. I’m looking forward to seeing you all again!

I am looking forward to meeting all of you this school year and seeing all the wonderful things at St. Bridget of Sweden!
